Lessons are an important part of skiing and snowboarding. They teach you on-hill safety, your responsibility code, and, more importantly, the skills to ski or snowboard in various terrain and conditions, so you, too, can enjoy skiing and snowboarding for a lifetime. Campgaw Mountain offers both daily private and group lessons, as well as multi-week programs in our Snowsports Academy. Snowsports School participants are trained under PSIA, AASI, USASA and USSA guidelines by our certified instructors and coaches.
Daily Ski and Snowboard Lessons:
All lesson participants are required to have a daily snow pass or season pass, and equipment. Campgaw Mountain offers packages for those needing a snow pass, lesson, and equipment rental. Also offered are daily equipment rental and seasonal equipment rental.
-Private Lesson (Ages 3+): A one-on-one lesson with a trained instructor for 1 hour for beginner to advanced levels.
-Semi Private Lesson (Ages 4+): A private lesson with an additional person (of your own party), up to 3 people max.
-Children's Group Lesson (Ages 4-6): A group of children with trained instructors for 1.5 hours, teaching skills through game play and fun. Children's Lessons are held in our children's area and small magic carpet area.
-Group Lesson (Ages 7+): A group of juniors to adults with trained instructors for 1 hour for beginner to advanced levels.

SNowsports academies (Multi-Week Programs):
-Campgaw Cruisers - A three week ski program for beginner to advanced children. Three different sessions are held through out the season.
-First Step - A five week ski or snowboard program for beginners. The program begins the first week of January.
-Next Step - A five week ski or snowboard program for intermediate to advanced levels. The program begins the first week of January.
-Developmental - An eight week ski or snowboard program introducing racing skills to children. Students must be able to ride the chairlift by themselves and ski/ride from the mid-station down. The program is held Saturdays or Sundays beginning Dec. 31, 2013.
-Race Training - An eight week ski or snowboard program two nights a week for students looking to improve racing skills. The training is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
-Team Campgaw - Season long training for USSA JI, JII, JIII, JIV, JV, and JVI racers. Training includes professional drill work and course setting. The training is held Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and begins the first weekend the mountain opens.
The deadline for registering for the December and January programs is Dec. 15, 2013. Space is limited for programs and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
